Wheel of Life

The Wheel of Life is a visual tool used to assess and balance different areas of life. It provides a comprehensive overview of your well-being, helping you set goals for a more balanced and fulfilling life. This tool is a wonderful and easy start to get a holistic view of various areas of your life.

This wheel contains eight sections that, together, represent one way of describing a whole life. This tool can be used to measure your current (today!) level of satisfaction in these areas. It’s important to note that this is not a picture of how it has been in the past or what you want in the future; it is a reflection of today and the moment. This exercise can help you understand what your balance looks like. I like to use this tool to help identify where one area of life may be affecting another area.

How to use and Benefits

This tool can be used to get a snapshot of how satisfied you are in your life. Each area of the wheel is rated on a scale from 0 to 10, where 0 means not satisfied and 10 means very satisfied. After rating each area, you can connect the lines to form an inner wheel, providing an overview of the balance in your life. Remember, it’s not about getting all 10s!

Based on the results, we can work together and identify what area you would like coaching on or where you are ready to make a change. This can lead to new goals, experiments, and areas to explore.

Limitation: This tool provides a high-level overview and is great for raising awareness. However, for deeper transformational work, additional tools and personal reflection are often necessary. In my experience, combining this with other methods can lead to more profound and lasting changes.

I personally use this tool to check in on my life's balance periodically.
